slow shut down on rare occasion - wondering why?
by linux-man from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6PN3B)
I powered off using shut down option (left of screen) on KDE task bar and that sometimes on rare occasion it takes a while to shut down (mouse still moves). Instead of waiting around I powered off via the power button on my physical machine using my fingers. Is the delay normal? Did external drive which I unmounted had anything to do with that? There was no active updates messages.
Is there a way of going back and checking why that happened?
Was it safe to do that by fingers/hand?
The light for the external drive was still on even though I unmounted - did the delay occur because I did not pull out the external drive after I unmounted it via the hub?
Would using this below help find out what happened recently?Code:journalctl -rb -1usually machine shuts down in few seconds, it's rare for this delay otherwise.
Thanks in advance
