Wine-9.8: still needs Multilib?

I'm just settling down a clean install of the latest Current iso (2024-08-09) and firing up wine. This time, I purposely left out Multilib, because I had read that since 9.0, things were working through 64 bit libs, so presumably 32bit wasn't needed.

It seems I was wrong. Code:Executing install script for wine-9.8-x86_64-1sg.txz.
Package wine-9.8-x86_64-1sg.txz installed.
bash-5.2$ env WINEPREFIX="/home/dec/.wine64" wine C:\\\\users\\\\Public\\\\Desktop\\\\English\\ -\\ Watchtower\\ Library.lnk
env: i: No such file or directory
bash-5.2$ wine64 .wine/drive_c/Program\ Files\ \(x86\)/Watchtower/Watchtower\ Library/E/wtlibrary.exe

bash-5.2$/lib/ld-linux.so.2 is a decidedly 32bit (linux) lib. I know for a fact that the Watchtower Library is compiled (for M$win)'i586, for a pentium 1.

I'm not compiling 32bit stuff myself here, indeed I rarely enough compile 64bit.

So, are there things here I don't know?
I need at least the Glibc-compat32?
Do I need the GCC-compat32 as well?
Do I need the whole shebang of 32bit stuff when I'm not compiling?
