[SOLVED] Editing .desktop files in Mate
by business_kid from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6PWWF)
I'm on Slackware-Current with willysr's mate packages installed.
When I try to edit a desktop file in Mate, I get offered a number of half-assed text editors (e.g. gvim) to play with.
My actual handiest way to do it is to log out. I get thrown back to sddm's login screen, where I can choose XFCE, and use it's "Edit Launcher" tool there. I prefer Mate. Am I missing something?
