are you human? --- forum disaster
by maxreason from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6PX4D)
I just spent a long time (probably an hour) carefully writing and editing a relatively long message to post in the "software" portion of this forum.
Then, when I tried to post the message with "submit new thread" the forum displayed that stupid screen that asks "are you a human". I clicked the "yes" checkbox. The forum displayed an empty white screen. I waited for a minute or so, then when I clicked the backspace arrow on the firefox browser to return to the page (or something) to see what happened. Result? EMPTY MESSAGE BOX.
My message was gone.
And yes ... not posted.
Well, wasn't that special?
Someone should fix this, don't you think?
Murphy's Law lives. This would happen on the message I spent the most time and care ever to create. Huh? :-(
I won't be surprised to learn that this only happens when someone spends a great deal of time and effort to create a new message.
Let's just say I'm not in the mood to try again anytime soon.
