Mint won't wake up

I just installed Linux Mint 22 (AKA Wilma) from scratch. Everything works fine except the Suspend feature. The power settings are controlled by Xfce Power Manager. I've configured the settings to put Mint in Suspend mode when I close the lid. Problem is, when I'm ready to start using it again and I open the lid Mint doesn't wake up.

I end up having to do a hard reboot before I can use it again. Has anyone else experienced this problem with Wilma? If so, what is the solution? TIA
