HPRT GT1 thermal printer, filter error used raspbian os 64-bit, july 2024

Greetings;
I got this thermal printer a while ago. Yesterday it was setup. Then I began to learn about CUPS and the openprinter website. I'm using a raspberry pi 4, not the keyboard one.
Here is a link to website with the Linux 1.0 driver. https://download.hprt.com/Downloads/ I extracted the zip and used changemod +x to make the file executable and installed the ppd and filter with sudo install. The smartphone app works fine. no print from linux desktop. Have used cups but don't know too much about pi as a cups server. but is in printer selection options 1 with and without _raspberrypi after it. Gives a filter error in job queue...
