WhatsApp web on the PC?

Have folks got this working? I'm using Firefox, but the phone rings and the pc doesn't seem to see it. My son manages on his Mac but it's with bluetooth earphones and he always comes up mute and there's a bit of farting about on his end while I provide a running commentary, sometimes a second call.
I'm trying to set up a clean working connection for my wife once a week, but the only other choice [M$ Teams] isn't connecting. I suspect a problem at their end.
The alternative is half a day of updates in Windows 11,and then install who knows what...
