Snap version of Firefox will not play video on kubuntu 24.04

Hope this is the appropriate forum for my question...

I did search for similar threads but didn't see any related search results.

Hardware is a Beelink Mini PC:

I'm running kubuntu 24.04:
Linux ser-1 6.8.0-41-generic #41-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I have the snap version of Firefox, version 129.0.2 64-bit. Firefox will not play any video.

I have a second system, an old Lenova laptop running the same version of kubuntu, and Firefox runs just fine there. Well, I'm not sure both systems are 'the same' as I probably installed some packages on the Beelink Mini PC that are not on the laptop when I was trying to get audio to work on the Mini PC.

Various suggestions I've received are to uninstall the snap version of Firefox and install traditional Firefox. Others have said that they have absolutely no problem running snap Firefox on kubuntu 24.04.

Any suggestions are welcome.
