New computer build with old ssds: kernel panic
by andrew.46 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6QB1D)
I replaced motherboard, CPU, ram and GPU on my old computer. I retained the 2 SSDs with my full slackware current install.
I was not sure if I could get away with this but turns out I did not, all 3 kernels available give a kernel panic. This was after some bios work: enabling CSM.
These are the 2 stock slackware kernels (including huge) and my own compiled kernel.
Can I repair this or should I just go for a clean reinstall? Anticipated trouble so I have done a full backup...
