Wisconsin city - already home to world's tallest wooden building - announces proposal for tower with 55 floors
The city of Milwaukee in Wisconsin is currently home to the tallest timber building in the world, but this summer the city announced a new proposal to build an even taller one.
Designed by the Vancouver-based architecture firm, Michael Green Architecture, the tower, once completed, would become the tallest mass timber structure in the world with 55 floors -about 30 floors taller than the current tallest timber building in the world, also in Wisconsin, known as the Ascent.
