Debian 12 dual boot Windows 11 Bad mirror Error

Still learning my way around Linux.
Installing Debian 12.6 on a new Windows 11 Dell Inspiron Desktop.
Downloaded febian-12.6-amd64-meinst.iso
Downloaded and installed balenaEtcher
Used balenaEtcher to flash debian 12 iso to usb drive
Created free space on the hard drive for the debian operating system.
used F12 to get one-time boot sequence facility and booted from USB
Oh yes, disabled secure boot
Began the graphical install.
First run through, network config failed. My ASUS router primary access to Internet is definitely using DHCP protocol.
Switched to manual config, provided ip address of the computer, and the installer then found the Internet mask and the ip of the primary access point router.
On through the process until selecting the mirror. Dang! Every mirror listed for my country failed (USA). Tried a few from Canada and the UK. All of the returned the same Bad Archive Mirror error.
I do want to have the GUI desktop.
Can I perhaps succeed if I use the plain install and find the right commands to do it from the command line?
A I really going to have to take this whole setup upstairs to where the primary Internet access point is and connect with an ethernet cable? I do hope not.
I will gratefully receive any suggestions.
Thank you,
