Linux 6.10 upgrade
by drmozes from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6QQP5)
Hello.
Code:Sat Sep 14 08:08:08 UTC 2024
We've upgraded to Linux 6.10! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to test it on
the PineBook Pro because mine has broken again. However, itis working on the
RockPro64, so Iim assuming the PineBook Pro should work fine as well. If you
encounter any issues, please let me know on the forum.
I plan to consolidate the two Kernel packages within the 'a' series
('kernel_armv8' and 'kernel-modules'), similar to x86. This consolidation
simplifies operations by eliminating the need to upgrade modules ahead of the
Kernel package. On ARM architectures, the OS InitRD is automatically rebuilt
during the installation or upgrade of the 'a/kernel_armv8' package. The
current setup functions correctly based on the package names, but it can be
somewhat fragile.
The Raspberry Pi Kernel fork packages have also been updated:

I'll refresh the Slackware Installers once we migrate to Linux 6.11.
If you appreciate our work on Slackware Linux for ARM, please consider making a
donation to help us continue. Your support goes toward maintaining essential
hardware, covering electricity costs, and ensuring the longevity of this
open-source project.
