As per the above page, my motherboard has the following network device:
Realteki GbE LAN chip (10/100/1000 Mbit)
Via Terminal, I found the following network device:
Code:Matthew_Wai@My-PC:~$ lspci -nnk | grep "Realtek"|grep -Po "Realtek [^\*]*"
Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet Controller [10ec:8168] (rev 0c)
Matthew_Wai@My-PC:~$On my Linux, I found the following driver, which is not in use:
r8125.ko
https://ubuntu.pkgs.org/24.04/ubuntu...1_all.deb.html
The above page shows the following information about "r8125":
r8125 is the Linux 2.5G Ethernet device driver released by RealTek for their network controller.
My ISP currently provides an Internet speed lower than 100 Mbps.
My network device is not intended for 2.5-GB Ethernet.
If I upgrade my Internet service plan, will the "r8125" driver enable the device to support 2.5-GB Ethernet?
