debian bookworm does not see correctly partitions
by slackbat from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6QR8V)
Hi all,
I have encountered an anomaly with debian bookworm seeing partitions correctly - I have two drives running sda/sdb, with debian installed on sdb13, both drives are GPT - the other day I wanted to add the LMDE partition to debians fstab, I ran blkid | grep sdb8 (what LMDE is on), a number was spat out, but no matter how much I tried I could not get the LMDE partition to mount - turns out, after i had rebooted the machine, that the UUID that was given by debian was completely wrong - debain had given the UUID number for sda8 (not sdb8) - why is this?
is there a reason for this, is there a fix, or something I have missed?
Any help much appreciated - as always.
