[SOLVED] Installing Lutris, or other Slackbuilds with a ton of dependencies
by vladimir1986 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6QV4T)
Hi there!
So I have been avoiding installing Lutris for the longest time, because it uses webkit-gtk (I have horrible experiences of compiling the thing and taking about ~30 hrs). Now I found another hurdle: The damn thing has a lot of dependencies, and some of them have their own dependency rabbit hole. I am not kidding, I had to pull a notepad and do a diagram of dependencies.
So I am using sbopkg to manage my slackbuilds. I have to find each one of those stupid things, add it to a queue making sure they are in order, then invert the queue and process it. It is taking a very long time and I am not sure It will even compile....
So before I turn out completely mental, I was wondering if there are some alternative tools that can deal with this spaghetti of dependencies? To be honest I am back to Slackware since the 14.2 times, so a lot of time for new tools to appear.
