epsonscan2 build error

I've found epsonscan2 a simple and convenient tool for basic scanning on my old epson perfection v330. Previously I've simply repackaged the rpm from

The latest version (6.7.70) didn't work properly, though, so I tried building from source instead. Building failed with
Code:make[2]: *** No rule to make target '/usr/local/lib/libjpeg.so', needed by '/tmp/build/libes2fileformat.so'. Stop.
make[1]: *** [CMakeFiles/Makefile2:295: src/ES2FileFormat/Linux/CMakeFiles/es2fileformat.dir/all] Error 2
