Authentication required to suspend this system message

I'm using 15 64-bit on an older laptop. Today, when I closed the lid, the laptop kept running. I opened the lid and there was a window with this message:
Quote:
Authentication required to suspend this system while an application is inhibiting this.
An application is attempting to perform an action that requires privileges. Authentication is required to perform this action.
Password for root:
Action: Suspend the system while an application is inhibiting this
ID: org.freedesktop.login1.suspend-ignore-inhibit
Vender: The systemd Project
polkit.subject-pid: 9567
polkit.caller-pid: 1182
I can't think of any major changes I've made in the last few days to cause this.

I found this https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Polkit and something there points to debugging, which says
Quote:
Debugging/logging

To enable logging with polkit.log() function, remove --no-debug flag from ExecStart command in /usr/lib/systemd/system/polkit.service file.
I have no /usr/lib/systemd/system/polkit.service file.

I found this https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...re-4175737898/ but I'm running the 5-15-145 kernel.

Not sure what to do at this point or how to fix the issue.
