[SOLVED] How to run fsck on encrypted external drive?
by mknix from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6QYCV)
Hello, I just retired an old laptop but I removed the hd before. It's 2tb with full LUKS encryption. When it was connected to a newer laptop the system froze and I had to force a restart. Now I'm concerned about errors resulting from this.
So how do I check for errors? When I enter the password it then becomes mounted which means fsck can't be run, right?
Any help appreciated.
