RazPi 4 Graphics. Any improvements Lately?

I'm running the unofficial port of slackware64 that was slarm64 on my RazPi 4. The guys behind that have switched to porting irradium, a crux variant. My last binary Image was slarm64-current-aarch64-xfce-raspberry_pi_4-6.5.2-build-20230910.img.zst. It's mirrored on slackware.uk except for a later kernel
Looking around, the Pi 5 seems to be having good graphics support and performance, and I wondered how much of that percolates down to the Pi 4. I have a nice, quiet, fanless setup with the Pi 4, and the last thing I want to do is buy another sbc only to throw the existing one out. If I can play 1080p films reliably, that's all I want really.
If I were to buy anything, I'd be inclined to go for the Orange Pi 5, if the graphics measured up. But being fanless is a big deal for me. But the Pi 5 has a Flirc case now...
