My OS Takes Too Much Time Booting Up
by goose6 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6R314)
Hello! I have a laptop that dual boots into kali (ssd) and ubuntu (hdd). My ubuntu works just fine but when I choose to run kali, it takes so so much time for it to boot up.
I use kali with a GUI/Desktop Environment. I have tried multiple DEs since I started kali so I was thinking maybe my system is trying to load all DE's one by one and thats why it takes so long. I used a purple background on xfce, I chose gnome as my DE and when I reboot the system, it displays a purple screen for a (long) while. I was thinking that may be my issue and was wondering if anyone would know the solution to it, I didn't think I would neef to post it on a kali forum because it seems like a newbie problem managing DEs.
iYou can ask me any questions to diagnose the issue.
iI will run any code that will help the situation and send the output if it won't explode my computer.
iThank you for reading this far ! :)
help much appreciated
