Garmin dilemma: Buy the Epix Gen 2 for an all-time low $500 off or shell out for the Fenix 8?

The Garmin Epix Gen 2 has been supplanted by the Fenix 8, which is objectively better...and costs an insane $1,100 for the same 1.3-inch display size. If you want 90% of the same features for a more reasonable cost, this is a genuinely good deal.
