Netflix’s New “Moments” Feature Will Allow You to Capture & Share Your Favorite Scenes

Netflix's new feature will let you save and share your favorite scenes from a movie or show.

The feature is called Moments and it's available on the Netflix Mobile app. So now, if you want to rewatch your favorite scene, be it an iconic flight during the climax or a grand romantic gesture by your favorite actor, you can do it without having to skip through the rest of the movie/show.

iOS users have already received the feature update and it's expected to come to Android users within the next few weeks. Just make sure you have the latest version of the app installed.

How Does It Work?

When you reach the beginning of the scene that you would like to save, tap on the screen. The Moments button will turn up at the bottom of the screen and it will immediately save under your My Netflix' Tab. You can rewatch it from there anytime you want.

The best part is if you bookmark a certain part of the show/movie, it will resume from that exact point the next time you're watching.

As for sharing, when you save a moment the app will automatically create a custom screenshot for you from that scene, containing the name of the show, episode number, and the exact timestamp of the moment.

This way if your friends or family want to watch it too, they won't have to bug you for details.

If you don't want to share it right away, you can always do it later. You'll find the share option under your My Netflix tab. You can share it on any popular social media platform of your choice, be it Facebook, Instagram, or something else.

Whether Netflix will roll out the feature for larger screens remains to be seen. Competitors like Apple TV+ and Disney may also rush to introduce something similar.
