The new US president incorrectly said Spain is a member of the Brics grouping of nations, and that this was the reason it was not maintaining defence spending levels. When asked by a reporter about Spain's defence spending, Trump dismissively asked if he knew what Brics was, adding: 'You'll figure it out'.
