New U.S. tariffs announcedMonday by U.S. President Donald Trump are creating uncertainty in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., home of major Canadian producer Algoma Steel. While a local union rep anticipates the tariffs would cause a slowdown in Algoma's production, the CEO says the company has a chance to weather the "short-term storm" if Canada responds quickly.
