Schools, offices close Thursday in Hamilton area after heavy snowfall, while city issues cold alert

After heavy snow hit much of southern Ontario on Wednesday night, schools in the Hamilton, Brantford and Burlington areas are closed, while schools in Niagara remain open, though buses are cancelled. McMaster University is closed today as well.
