SPORTS BRIEFS: Hwy. 26 battle begins Saturday

The Owen Sound Baysox won their season opener, 12-4, over the Mansfield Cubs in Mansfield on Wednesday night. Newcomer Adam Shaver and last year's home-run leader Bryan Post smacked back-to-back bombs in the first inning en route to victory. Nate Kramer and Kevin Zettler took care of business on the bump. The Baysox will open their home schedule Saturday in a championship rematch against the Ivy Rangers. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Tom Williams Park in Owen Sound. Read More
