Wednesday is Bike Everywhere Day 2025 + Map of celebration stations

Tomorrow (May 14) is Bike Everywhere Day! It's the first time the day formerly known as Bike to Work Day is being held on a Wednesday, a response to changes in work-from-home and alternate schedule trends. Wednesdays have the most people physically commuting to work these days, so Cascade Bicycle Club has shifted this annual celebration.
If you've never biked to your regular morning destination (job or otherwise) before, Wednesday is a great time to give it a try. There will be far more people out biking with you as well as dozens of celebration stations" along the way offering swag or coffee or snacks or plain old encouragement and good vibes. Some are staffed by organizations while others are just people being nice. It's a lot of fun.
Different stations have different hours, but nearly all are open at least from 7 to 9 a.m. Cascade's big station will be at the north end of the Fremont Bridge, a classic location where many different local and regional bike routes converge. Plus riders traveling via Fremont will be able to contribute to the effort to build on Seattle's record-setting Fremont Bridge bike count total in April.
People who haven't biked downtown since 2020 or earlier may be very surprised to find out how much more connected and protected the bike network is these days. New riders should have a much more comfortable and hopefully more positive experience, leading more of them to stick with biking for transportation. If you're an everyday rider already, then be sure to be extra gracious and positive toward all the new riders out there. 2025 could be a period of significant growth for cycling in Seattle, and there's no needs for any kind of gatekeeping.
If you want help figuring out a good route, check out our bike maps page for some routing resources.
You can also join me as well as Cascade's Paul Tolme and Tyler Vasquez 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall Seattle Wednesday evening for a conversation about the state of bicycling in Seattle and what comes next.
