When the Eagles used the No. 37 overall pick on Landon Dickerson out of Alabama in 2021, it came with some risk.
On one hand, Dickerson was a first-round caliber talent. On the other, he dealt with several significant injuries in college, which is the only reason he fell into the second round in the first place.
Well, the Eagles nailed that pick.
Because as Dickerson enters his fifth NFL season in 2025, he has played in 63 games with 62 starts and has been named a Pro Bowl left guard in each of his last three seasons. Not only has Dickerson been good, but he's been durable, playing in 17, 16 and 16 games over the last three seasons. He has also started all nine playoff games in the Nick Sirianni Era.
Dickerson is also willing to do whatever the team needs. In the NFC Championship Game win over the Commanders, Dickerson got the start at center as Cam Jurgens dealt with a significant back injury. Dickerson played well before his own knee injury forced him out.
You have the Alabama crossover, and I missed (playing with) him by a year, so now we have a chance to do what we could have done in those times," Jalen Hurts said after the Eagles punched their ticket to the Super Bowl.
But Landon was an all-American center in college. He's a heck of a player. He's very versatile, and when he came here to be an Eagle, everyone knew that, and so that's a tough guy there. Tough guy deserves a lot of credit for our success today, his willingness to step in and take that role."
Dickerson has been the model of consistency. ProFootballFocus ranked him as the No. 8 overall guard in the NFL last season. You can pick apart their rankings but the fact remains that Dickerson is one of the best in the business.
And at 26 years old, he's still firmly in the prime of his career with three Pro Bowls already under his belt. He's one of five guards to make the Pro Bowl each season since 2022, joining Joel Bitonio, Chris Lindstrom, Quenton Nelson and Joe Thuney. His three Pro Bowls have already tied him with Brandon Brooks for the most as a guard in Eagles history.
With his close buddy Jordan Mailata, Dickerson helps man the left side of the Eagles' offensive line, which is considered by many to be the best in the NFL. Dickerson was a key piece to the line as they blocked for Saquon Barkley's record-breaking season in 2024.
Entering the 2025 season, Dickerson continues to be a cornerstone of the offense.
