Prime Day 2025 is here from Tuesday, July 8 to Friday, July 11, and Lifehacker is sharing the best sales based on product reviews, comparisons, and price-tracking tools.

For gamers, few things are as important as frames. A high frame rate means a smoother visual experience, less eye-strain, and more kills in a shooter. A split-second of lag can be the difference between extending your kill streak and hitting the respawn button. Unfortunately, even the most powerful PC can't deliver the silky smooth frame rates gamers crave if you don't pair it with a high refresh rate monitor.

Of course, the issue with obtaining a high refresh rate monitor is that it usually accompanies a high price tag. That's not the case with Gigabyte and Newegg. During Newegg's anti-Prime-Day sale, the Gigabyte M27Q X is available right now for only $279.99. It's a sharp 27-inch IPS monitor that packs both a blistering 240Hz max refresh rate as well as a 1 MS response time, so you won't have to worry about getting slaughtered in Overwatch 2 because of input lag. This is a 1440p monitor, which should make hitting those super high frame rates even more achievable, especially if your graphics card is a little older.

The M27Q also boasts AMD FreeSync compatibility, the company's V-Sync/G-Sync competitor, which will help avoid tearing and visual artifacts when the frames your PC is outputting don't match the monitor's settings. And a bevy of ports means connectivity shouldn't be an issue: Beyond two HDMI ports, there's also a DisplayPort 1.4, one USB-C port, and even two USB passthrough ports. It's little details like that which have earned Gigabyte its well deserved pedigree.

Gigabyte is a well-respected monitor manufacturer, and this isn't a fake sale on an over-inflated MSRP. The usual $449.99 price tag isn't unreasonable for a 27-inch. In fact, it has been listed over $600 before, according to price tracking tools.

Looking for something else? Retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Home Depot have Prime Day competition sales that are especially useful if you don't have Amazon Prime.
