The Eagles have made it through 10 training camp practices this summer and one of the biggest stories has been the emergence of DT Moro Ojomo.

Ojomo has been wreaking havoc this camp.

And, recently, Pro Bowl left guard Landon Dickerson gave a fascinating description of Ojomo's play style

He's a guy that I would describe ... he's awkward in a good way," Dickerson said. Just the way he moves, his size, his arm length. He's one of those guys that we, quote, unquote, say is awkward to block. I think that gives him a huge advantage in this game.

He's not your stereotypical D-tackle size, right? Like a Jordan Davis or a Jalen Carter. He's a very strong guy, he's twitchy and he knows football. He's doing a lot of great things. I see him coming out here every day getting better and better."

Dickerson made sure to clarify a few different times that calling Ojomo awkward" was meant as a compliment. And it makes sense. When there's something unusual about a player, it can often be hard to know how to stop them.

The Eagles will need Ojomo, a former seventh-round pick, to play a bigger role this season after Milton Williams left in free agency. If he can carry over his training camp success to the regular season, that won't be a problem.

When will Q travel?

Second-year cornerback Quinyon Mitchell has been playing on both sides of the field this summer to prepare for the possibility that he will travel with some top receivers this year.

There are many factors for when Mitchell will travel and a lot of it has to do with the offenses the Eagles will be playing throughout the season.

It's game to game," defensive backs coach Christian Parker said. So really, you just look at what an offense is doing. Do they have a premier guy? Does that guy line up in a certain spot? Is he a motion guy? Because if he's a motion guy, traveling doesn't really do anything.

So you just really want to look at the offense and how they present their primary players. And once they move them premiums around and we're going into the game plan, we'll kind of decide how we'll do that week to week."

Dealing with a fake story

Kendall Lamm never said anything about the Dolphins' culture this offseason.

But if you've been on social media a lot the last few months, you might not know that. Because a fake quote that was wrongly attributed to Lamm began to make the rounds in June and it picked up enough steam that people were sending posts and stories to Lamm about it.

I'm not going to lie to you, Philly reporters and everything weren't really my favorite people when that came out because I thought one of you guys said that," Lamm said after Day 10 of training camp. But at the same time, once I found out it was BS, which if you know me and when you meet me, I'm a very straight shooter. I enjoyed my time in Miami. That will hold a special place in my heart forever.

I was raised by my grandparents. I never really speak upon things that are in house, I never really speak upon things that unfortunately you guys don't really know. That's in-house things. If I did have any ill will towards something like that, you would never know. The only person that would know is me and that's just kind of how it goes."

Lamm, 33, is in Year 11 of his NFL career. He signed a one-year deal with the Eagles this offseason after spending the past three seasons in Miami. He previously played for the Titans, Browns and Texans.

Even though that fake quote made the rounds, Lamm said he didn't feel the need to smooth anything over with his former teammates or anyone within the Dolphins' organization.

Not at all," he explained. Because the thing about me, as you will begin to realize as we talk more and more, you're going to know what it is right away. You're going to see on the daily. I'm the type of person if I don't like you, you'll know it. If I like you, you'll know it. It's not really that hard to tell."

Finding his own style

After Tuesday's practice, Eagles edge rusher Jalyx Hunt was talking about veteran Josh Uche and said Uche had an unorthodox" pass rushing style. He's so free-spirited," Hunt said.

What is Hunt's rushing style right now?

I would really say it's more strategic at this point," Hunt said. But I'm still learning it. I might have to go by the book until I really figure out what I want to do, how I want to rush, what type of rusher I want to be. But I'm figuring it out day by day."

The Eagles have high expectations for Hunt in his second NFL season but it's a good reminder that he's still learning how to be a pass rusher. He was a safety at Cornell just a few years ago before becoming a third-round pick as an edge at Houston Christian.

Jihaad Campbell's aggressiveness

It has been fun to watch Jihaad Campbell's aggressive play on the practice field this summer. But there are a few times where he probably needs to tone it down just a bit.

I think the biggest thing really is just keep being mindful of practicing, knowing how to practice and stuff like that," Campbell said. I'm doing it one day at a time."

While the Eagles want Campbell to be aggressive, they certainly don't want him to injure a teammate at practice. And Campbell acknowledged that this week.

A few of his offensive teammates have also noted that Campbell might need to be reined in a bit, but they also all made the point that they'd rather have to rein in a rookie than get him going.

Just raw, uber athletic, can fly, aggressive," Saquon Barkley said. Probably too aggressive in camp right now, to be honest. Gotta teach him to stay away from the guys in red and knowing when to tag off and when to take shots. But you'd rather him be more aggressive than not."

Who will return punts?

When the Eagles signed Avery Williams this offseason, they initially called him a return specialist" before eventually listing him as a receiver.

So it seemed strange that in plenty of practices this training camp, Williams hasn't even been part of the punt returners group.

What gives?

Avery is also known as a very good personal protector on punt," special teams coordinator Michael Clay said. He's coming down to a different set of language, new system and I've seen Avery catch punts for the past four years in the NFL. I know he could do it, but to him get comfortable calling protections in the punt pro now. You'll probably see him out here today. It's a punt return emphasis day that he'll be doing his normal catching."

Last season, after Britain Covey went down, Cooper DeJean became the Eagles' primary punt returner. But because of DeJean's importance on defense, Clay admitted DeJean will probably not" be the primary returner again. That makes sense.

Another option could be second-year receiver Ainias Smith.

I think Ainias has done a really good job of just improving his feet, his hands," Clay said. He's put in the work. You could definitely tell in the off season wherever he was training at and OTAs to now him just being more confident, kind of just calm cool collected back there, which has been great. We're excited to see maybe a little live action as we move forward with him catching and see what he can do. He was a pretty explosive return at Texas A&M."
