The Jetscontinue to make deals before the start of the regular season.

Hours after acquiring DT Jowon Briggs in a deal with the Cleveland Browns, they now bring in another veteran tackle in Harrison Phillips, in a trade with the Minnesota Vikings.

According to multiple reports, the Jets will send 2026 and 2027 sixth-round picks to the Vikings for Phillips, as well as a 2027 seventh-round pick.

Phillips was drafted in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. There, the Stanford product spent his first three seasons in Western New York. He started all 16 games his rookie season, picking up 35 tackles (20 solo).

His sophomore season was cut short when he suffered a torn ACL in Week 3 in 2019. Phillips bounced back the next season, appearing in 12 games but starting in only three. He would start in eight games in 2021 before signing with the Vikings in free agency.

After a strong 2022, when he recorded 59 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 17 starts, Phillips had a career year. He recorded 92 tackles and three sacks while playing all 17 games.

Last season, he played all 17 games with the Vikings, picking up 56 tackles (16 solo) to go along with two sacks and one forced fumble.
