Jets claim TE Jelani Woods, two others off waivers

The Jets have made three additions on the waiver wire.
The most notable is TE Jelani Woods, who was released on Tuesday by the Colts.
Woods, a former third-round pick out of Virginia, has been plagued by injuries throughout his career.
He hauled in 25 receptions for 312 yards and three touchdowns during an impressive rookie campaign, but hasn't appeared in a regular season game since.
The 26-year-old will look to find his footing with Gang Green heading into the final year of his contract.
New York also picked up LB Cam Jones and OT Esa Pole, both of whom were cut loose by the Chiefs.
Pole signed with Kansas City as an undrafted free agent this offseason, and he shined throughout preseason action, not allowing a single pressure across 49 snaps.
The Jets are plenty familiar with his game, as they had him in for a top 30 pre-draft visit.
Jones has played in all 34 regular season games over the past two seasons, and he should provide his new club with a reliable special teamer and depth at linebacker.
