Giants claim two off waivers, cut Korie Black and Gunner Olszewski

The Giants have made two additions on the waiver wire.
New York has claimed S Beau Brade (Ravens) and CB Rico Payton (Saints).
In a corresponding move, they've parted ways with rookie CC Korie Black and WR/ST Gunner Olszewski.
Brade signed with Baltimore after going undrafted last season and appeared in 11 games.
He logged just seven snaps on defense, but recorded the second-most special team snaps among the team's defensive players (207).
Prior to the NFL, he played alongside Deonte Banks at Maryland.
He's a player that we spent some time with coming out of the draft," Joe Schoen said. He played on special teams for [Baltimore] last year, also can be a depth-safety for us and he's a high character kid -- smart, tough, dependable. He checked all of those boxes for us."
Payton joined New Orleans also as an undrafted free agent for the 2024 season.
He appeared in 16 games as a rookie, but logged just 13 tackles with the special teams unit.
He's a guy that also last year, during this time, we were hoping for," Schoen said. You hope some of these guys get cut and they end up making teams and playing -- he's a really good special teams player and we also think he has defensive value.
Just to upgrade the depth at both of those positions, we're happy to get those guys."
As for Black and Olszewski, Schoen says the hope is that one or both will land back in the organization.
