Trump to award Charlie Kirk a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom – video
The US president, Donald Trump, announced that he will be awarding Charlie Kirk a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Speaking at the memorial services marking the 24th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, Trump said the date of the ceremony would be announced soon.
'I can only guarantee you one thing, that we will have a very big crowd,' the president said.
Trump said Kirk was a 'giant of his generation, a champion of liberty and an inspiration to millions and millions of people'.
