The report said it's a multi-year deal" for Wembley Stadium to host college football games.
Iowa State and Kansas State opened the 2025 season in Dublin at the Aviva Stadium. Next season, TCU and North Carolina are set to play in Ireland. The Cyclones beat the Wildcats 24-21 a year after Georgia Tech beat Florida State in a thriller to open the 2024 college football season.
Michigan, meanwhile, is likely heading to Germany. The Wolverines are working towards playing Central Michigan in Frankfurt. The Ireland and Germany games would be on Aug. 29 in Week Zero, while Arizona State and Kansas would play on Sept. 19.
The Ireland series of games is also expected to continue into the foreseeable future. The game's organizers told the Associated Press that they're awaiting official approval for an extension of the series through the 2037 season.
Wembley Stadium is no stranger to American football games. The stadium has annually held at least one NFL game since 2007. This season, the Los Angeles Rams will play the Jacksonville Jaguars on Oct. 19. That's the third of three NFL games in the United Kingdom in 2025. The first two will be held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
