Former Jets QB Mark Sanchez in stable condition after reported stabbing in Indianapolis

Former Jetsquarterback and current FOX Sports analyst Mark Sanchez is in stable condition after a reported stabbing in Indianapolis early Saturday morning.
TMZ Sports reportedthat police received a call around 12:30 a.m. to downtown Indianapolis for two injured people, one being Sanchez. He was rushed to a local hospital.
Sanchez was in Indianapolis to help call the Colts and Raiders game on Sunday.
FOX Sports released a statement on the incident and gave a promising update on Sanchez.
"Mark Sanchez was injured in Indianapolis on Saturday and is currently recovering in the hospital in stable condition," the statement read. "We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family's privacy during this time."
"Detectives believe this was an isolated incident between two men and not a random act of violence," a statementfrom the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department read. "The case will be presented to the Marion County Prosecutor's Office for a charging decision."
The Jets drafted Sanchez with the fifth-overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. The California native was under center for Gang Green in four of his eight professional seasons, amassing a 33-29 record with the Jets, which included back-to-back AFC Championship appearances in his rookie and sophomore seasons.

"Prayers to my former teammate," former Jets guard Damien Woody wrote on social media.
Sanchez also played for the Eagles, Cowboys and Washington, where he appeared in his last regular season game in 2018.
