Now, there might have been an info box on the side of the selection UI thing that mentioned that the forehead jewel instills a significant sociological hierarchy among their race. And Sydney might have gotten distracted by all the pretty gems and not paid attention, cause she was busy picking out the coolest/prettiest one.It's also possible that she also noticed that info box after she picked the best one, and went, Eh. Whatever. What could the Mantellan population of Fracture Station be anyway? I didn't see any the last time I was here, and not just cause DaveB hadn't invented them yet."

By the way, this gunmetal blue-ish background and teal pencils are how I draw the comic. I set it up this way so I don't have to spend all day staring into a bright white blank page.
