NEW YORK - In an effort to continue globalizing football, the NFL is moving the Pro Bowl from the Sunday before the Super Bowl to prime time Tuesday night, staging its flag football game of Pro Bowl players in the San Francisco Bay Area in conjunction with the Super Bowl that the San Francisco 49ers will host this February.

ESPN will air the game live at 8 p.m. ET, NFL EVP Peter O'Reilly said at league meetings, with coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. and a Pro Bowl-related show on the Sunday that previously held the game.

The NFL wants to further showcase its expansion of flag football ahead of the 2028 Olympics in which players will have opportunities to participate.
