Jets claiming rookie LB Kobe King off waivers from Vikings: report
The Jets are claiming rookie linebacker Kobe King off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings, reports The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt.
King, a sixth-round pick out of Penn State in the 2025 NFL Draft, played in five games for the Vikings where he primarily played on special teams, although he also played three defensive snaps.
The 22-year-old was waived before Minnesota's Thursday Night Football matchup with the Los Angeles Chargers to make room for running back Aaron Jones who was activated from IR prior to the start of the game.
During his time on the Vikings, King recorded four total tackles (two solo). As a Nittany Lion, King tallied 200 combined tackles (113 solo), 18.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks to go along with two fumble recoveries and a forced fumble across 46 games.
