The Jets are going to be without two of their most important players when they face the Bengals on Sunday in Cincinnati.

Sauce Gardner, who suffered a concussion in Week 7 against the Panthers, has not been cleared from concussion protocol. And Garrett Wilson, who is dealing with a knee injury, will miss his second consecutive game.
In a spot of good news, linebacker Quincy Williams was activated off injured reserve on Saturday.

On Saturday, after much speculation during the week and Aaron Glenn unwilling to make his plans known, the team ruled veteran Tyrod Taylor out with a knee injury and announced that Justin Fields would get the start at quarterback. Fields, who was benched during last Sunday's loss to the Carolina Panthers, was expected to be benched in favor of Taylor. However, the bone bruise that kept Taylor a limited participant during the week was severe enough to keep him from traveling to Cincinnati.

To make matters tougher for Fields, wide receiver Josh Reynolds, who appeared on the Jets' injury report on Friday with a hip ailment, has been downgraded to out. New York also placed Reynolds and linebacker Cam Jones on injured reserve.

Reynolds had just 21 targets (11 receptions on the season), but that made him the second-most targeted WR on the roster. Combined with Wilson's absence, the Jets will be down to Tyler Johnson (seven receptions on 10 targets), Allen Lazard (six receptions on nine targets), and Adrian Smith (five receptions on nine targets) as their experienced wide receivers.

That led to second-year WR Isaiah Williams getting the call-up from the practice squad. He has yet to appear in a game with Gang Green this year, and has two career receptions (three targets) for six yards across eight career NFL games last year. Wide receiver Brandon Smith was signed to the active roster from the practice squad, as well.
