The Coalition wants to break reforms of the federal environment protection regime in two, prioritising measures to fast-track projects while probably further delaying protections for nature.
The opposition leader, Sussan Ley, has made the constructive" offer to Anthony Albanese before the return of federal parliament on Monday, where the political fight over long-awaited legislation updating the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Act is expected to dominate.
