Giants place K Graham Gano on IR for second time this season
GiantskickerGraham Ganohas landed on IR yet again.
The 38-year-old Gano has been placed on IR for the second time this season, this time due to a neck injury. Gano told reporters last week that he has a herniated disk in his neck, casting serious doubt on him returning to the field this season.
Gano has played in just five games in 2025. After playing in the first three games, Gano was placed on IR due to a groin injury, returning for the Week 8 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He kicked again in Week 9 against San Francisco, but he missed Sunday's game in Chicago and will now miss at least four more games, if not more.
Gano has been successful on nine of his 10 field goal attempts this season, but he's been anything but reliable in terms of his health. The veteran has played in a combined 23 games (out of a possible 44 contests) over the past three seasons.
With Gano out, Younghoe Koo will likely handle kicking duties going forward. Koo, a former Pro Bowler with the Atlanta Falcons, had a perfect debut with the Giants in Chicago, hitting both of his field goal attempts and both of his extra point attempts.
The Giants also signed kicker Ben Sauls to the practice squad earlier this week, giving them some depth behind Koo.
