For three possessions on Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles appeared to answer all the questions swirling around their stagnant offense.

But those concerns roared back to life for the rest of the game. After scoring three touchdowns in three possessions against the Dallas Cowboys, the Philadelphia attack fizzled for the better part of three quarters.

The result was a 24-21 Cowboys win as Dallas rallied to stun the first-place Eagles. The 21-point rally for a win tied a record for the largest comeback in franchise history.

An improved Dallas defense held Philadelphia off the scoreboard for the final 11:32 of the first half and throughout the second. After coming up with a goal-line stand with 1:44 in a 21-21 game, the Eagles had one last chance to put up more points.

Instead, they gained 17 yards on five plays. A sack of Jalen Hurts by Osa Odighizuwa on on third-and-2 prompted a punt back to the Cowboys with 1:44 remaining. The Cowboys did not squander their next opportunity.

Dak Prescott found George Pickens for a 24-yard gain with 44 seconds remaining that set up Brandon Aubrey for a game-winning field goal attempt as time expired. Aubrey was pure from 42 yards, and the Cowboys completed the stunner with 24 unanswered points to secure the comeback win.

For the Cowboys, it was a win that improved them to 5-5-1 to keep their own slim playoff hopes afloat. For the Eagles, the loss dropped them to 8-3 to cede control of the path to the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs to the 8-2 Los Angeles Rams. And despite an explosive start on the scoreboard, it raised further questions about a troubled offense's ability to compete for a Super Bowl championship.
