Pro-democracy activist and Niagara hotelier Jimmy Lai’s guilty verdict was expected, family in Canada say

Judges in Hong Kong court found pro-democracy media mogul Jimmy Lai guilty of conspiracy to collude with foreign forces to endanger national security and conspiracy to publish seditious material on Monday. His family in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont., and the U.K say they're saddened, but not surprised by the decision.
