For the second consecutive year, legendary Giants quarterback Eli Manningis a finalist for the NFL Hall of Fame.

Manning did not make it last year during what was his first year of eligibility -- nor did any other players who were in their first year on the ballot.

This time around, Manning is being considered as part of a 15-player modern era group that includes Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald, Reggie Wayne, Torry Holt, and Jason Witten.

During his 16-year career -- all with the Giants -- Manning amassed 57,023 passing yards and threw 366 touchdowns.

Manning ranks 11th in NFL history in passing yards (sandwiched between Dan Marino and John Elway).

He was named to the Pro Bowl four times (2008, 2011, 2012, 2015) and led the Giants to two Super Bowl titles.

In each of New York's championships with Manning at the helm, he was named Super Bowl MVP.

Manning tossed six touchdowns to one interception in the 2007 playoffs, and engineered a last-minute game-winning touchdown drive against the undefeated Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.

In the 2011 playoffs, Manning had a 65 percent completion percentage while throwing nine touchdowns and just one pick. Against the Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI, Manning again led a late game-winning touchdown drive.

In order to gain election to the Hall of Fame, a candidate must receive at least 80 percent of the vote. Of the 15 modern-era players, the Selection Committee can elect only five.

The results will be announced on Feb. 5.
