Seahawks' Rashid Shaheed rocks Seattle with opening kick return TD vs. 49ers
The Seattle Seahawks' acquisition of wide receiver Rashid Shaheed has shaped up to be one of the biggest trade deadline moves of this season.
Shaheed made a couple of game-changing plays to help the Seahawks win a Week 16 game over the Los Angeles Rams that proved pivotal in Seattle's quest for the No. 1 seed. On Jan. 17, he opened Seattle's first playoff game with a kickoff return touchdown.
The Pro Bowl kick returner fielded San Francisco 49ers kicker Eddy Pineiro's opening kickoff at Seattle's 5-yard line. Shaheed burst through a seam created by Seahawks teammates in the middle of the field then streaked past Pineiro - San Francisco's last line of defense - up the right sideline to waltz into the end zone for an early Seahawks lead.
