Olympic snowboarder Ryan Wedding arrives in US on drug charges – video
Ryan Wedding, a Canadian Olympic snowboarder accused of becoming a cocaine smuggling kingpin linked to multiple murders, arrived handcuffed at Ontario international airport in California on Friday.
Wedding, escorted by FBI agents, was flown to the US from Mexico to face charges of drug trafficking, conspiracy to murder, witness tampering and money laundering.
Kash Patel, the FBI director, said Wedding was arrested on Thursday night in Mexico City after years on the run.
Patel said Wedding was the 'largest narco-trafficker in modern times', akin to the drug lords Joaquin 'El Chapo' Guzman and Pablo Escobar
