We are into another week of the Arizona Cardinals 2026 head coach search, and we are finally getting some information.

First, they are bringing in Anthony Weaver for a second interview, who was a finalist for the Pittsburgh Steelers job before it went to Mike McCarthy.

The Cardinals are bringing in Anthony Weaver on Sunday for a second interview for their head coaching job, per sources.

Coming home: The Steelers are working towards a deal to hire Mike McCarthy as their head coach, per sources.

Weaver will make the Cardinals able to actually hire now, as he will fulfill the Rooney Rule and allow the Cardinals to move forward to hire any coaching candidate.

As for Mike McCarthy, he was never interested in the Arizona Cardinals job, and allegedly he joins Sean McDermott in that group of people not interested in the job.

However, there are favorites emerging, and one is not Vance Joseph as of now.

Right now the Arizona Cardinals consider Raheem Morris, Anthony Campanile, and Mike LaFleur as their lead candidates, per sources.

The rumor on the street is that Mike LaFleur is the favorite, with Raheem Morris actually being the favorite to come in as the defensive coordinator.

That would be a similar setup to Kliff Kingsbury coming in with Vance Joseph as his defensive coordinator.

Yet, that wasn't a terrible result, as Kliff and company were able to reach the playoffs once.

For those wondering, if LaFleur decides not to take the job or if he is not the impressive in person candidate for the Cardinals, it does seem like Campanile would be the guy.

Would be interesting to see who he would bring along, but from Jaguars fans and media, Campanile would be a complete homerun hire for the Cardinals, which says a lot.
