Early Super Bowl 61 favorites6fb2d7735bcecf3240252b409cce8313 Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks put on a defensive clinic en route to a dominant 29-13 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LX, and are expected to be in the mix once again next season. Even if QB Sam Darnold struggled, the Seahawks were hardly rattled, as the elite defense had an answer for everything the Pats threw at it.

b5180097f7821fafbae841d8fdf3ea43 Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams will have a lot of things going for them next season. Fresh off winning MVP, Matthew Stafford announced he will return for another year. That's a big boost for a team that still has a window to win now. They have plenty of talent around him with Kyren Williams and Davante Adams. The only knock on the Rams is that the NFC West should be a powerhouse again, with the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers in position to contend once again.

The Buffalo Bills fired Sean McDermott and hired Joe Brady in hopes of getting over the proverbial playoff hump. With Josh Allen under center, that gives them a good starting point, but the roster leaves much to be desired on both sides of the football. With the New England Patriots unlikely to take a step back, the Bills will have their work cut out for them next year.

While the New England Patriots ultimately came up short after failing to overcome Seattle's stop unit, they showcased a rock-solid defense of their own, limiting the Seahawks to nothing but field goals until late in the third quarter. Quarterback Drake Maye couldn't muster much momentum until finally breaking through in the fourth for a couple of garbage-time TD passes, but he's young and will enter just his third NFL season in 2026-27. The sky could be the limit for this franchise.

The Philadelphia Eagles have the personnel to be a Super Bowl contender, but they'll need to find a way to put it all together on offense. For a team littered with talent, the Eagles' offense often sputtered when it mattered most, and drama with A.J. Brown seemed to linger. Defensively, they'll be solid once again, and they will likely be the favorite to win the NFC East once again.
