Zach Charbonnet undergoes surgery to repair torn ACL
One of the most significant questions facing the Seattle Seahawks in their offseason quest to maintain a Super Bowl-winning roster is what the team decides to do at running back.
While a decision of Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III looms large, it appears that they'll have more clarity on Zach Charbonnet soon after he announced on Instagram that he underwent surgery for his torn ACL on Friday. The power punch of the Seahawks' running back duo, Charbonnet, racked up 730 rushing yards and a team-leading 12 touchdowns on 184 attempts in 2025.
Charbonnet suffered his injury in the NFC Divisional Round showdown against the San Francisco 49ers on Jan. 17. Having the surgery following the season finale pushes Charbonnet's recovery back and will be key in the Seahawks' offseason decisions.

A second-round pick out of UCLA, Charbonnet, has been a staple of the Seahawks backfield for his three years, with his role increasing steadily over time. He's been the model of consistency, averaging around four yards per carry every year, and has been a dependable presence as a pass blocker when needed.
